Borrego Solar Systems Inc., a leading designer, developer, installer and financier of grid-tied solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, has announced that it was ranked as the second EPC on Solar Power Worlds 2014 Top Commercial Solar Contractor list and as the second commercial contractor on the 2014 Top California Solar Contractors list. Ranking was determined by the number of megawatts a company installed in 2013, which marked a record year for Borrego Solar as it installed 34.4 megawatts (MW) of solar electricity last year23 percent of the companys total installed capacity.
This is the third iteration of Solar Power Worlds Top Solar Contractors list, which ranks companies working in four markets utility, commercial, residential and off-grid and in varying capacities according to influence in the solar market in 2013. This years list was expanded by 150 companies over last years Top 250, mirroring growth in the industry.

Borrego Solar currently has 100 MW of projects under contract and in various stages of development across the country.
