Located on approximately 1,260 acres of private land in Kern Countys Mojave Desert, Valentine Solar is adjacent to EDF REs Catalina Solar 2 Project, which is also contracted with SCE. Valentine will be comprised of horizontal single-axis tracking solar photovoltaic (PV) technology generating power equivalent to avoiding more than 225,000 metric tons of CO? emissions annually.* This is equivalent to the emissions of 48,000 passenger vehicles driven over the course of one year.
