Else Enerji has completed installation, formal acceptances and commissioning processes of 500 kWp solar power plant which is established on the area of 250.000 m2 at Sivas-Ankara highway at Marka Group Fattening Farm that shown as one of the biggest farms in Anatolia. The process that is including the formal acceptances, project approval of power plant by TEDA?, connection to distribution system and using of distribution system agreements with ÇEDA? is carried out with great care.

As the 500 kWp solar power plant belong to Prokon A.? previously completed by Else Enerji; all engineering, procurement and application processes were carried out under the leadership of Else Enerji and in a collaboration with Sivas Aktif Enerji one of the leading firms in the region. Marka Group Fattening Farm will meet all own electricity consumption after the solar power plant is commissioned. Besides that Marka Group Fattening Farm will provide additional income for the company by selling surplus energy. Another feature of the project is to be utilized of incentives of VAT (Value-added tax) and KKDF (Resource Utilization Support Fund) provided by Ministry of Economy.

In the project of solar power plant, Marka Group was exempted from VAT. Construction system with pile hammerset was used in the project especially. The purpose here is to reduce the cost on the one hand, on the other hand to create a small scale sample for larger (licensed) solar power plants.

Halis KAPLAN, Chairman of the Board of Marka Group stated following about the project: "As Marka Group we have acted in vision of being a pioneer since our foundation. This investment that we made was again one of the first in the region. Our priority for the decision of investment was to take a step about carbon emissions and environmental sensibility. In addition, of course, rising electricity prices are another factor. We are expecting that the facility produce between 700,000 to 750,000 kWh amount of electricity per year. The produced electricity will contribute electricity consumption of our stores and fattening farm. Increases in electricity prices in Turkey will determine amortization period of the facility in fact. The calculations made at the moment show the amortization period as 7-8 years. This amortization period for an investment guaranteed the performance of 25-year is highly enticing. We will continue investments in solar power plants gradually. Our doors are open for all investors wishing to install solar power plants in Turkey, anyone who wants to visit can examine our plant."

All phases of the project, from project approval process to the commissioning, was carried out under the leadership of Else Enerji and in a collaboration with Sivas Aktif Enerji and following brands were used: Considering the balance of performance-quality-price, Hanwha SolarOne SF220 – 245Wp solar module was preferred. As inverter, STP20000TL-EE High Performance Inverter of German SMA which is regarded as one of the best inverter brands of the world was used. The mounting system produced by Alkor Alüminyum which is domestic goods was preferred as mounting and fixing system at the project. As solar cable and connectors which are the important components of the system Multi-Contact brand which is leading brand in the market was preferred. E

lse Enerji which is a well-known EPC firm at Turkey solar energy sector, continues to be the leading company of the sector by adding the solar power plant of Sivas Marka Group about medium-large scaled solar power plant applications that it has started with Prokon A?. Else Enerji aims to strengthen its position in the sector with new projects will announced soon.
