Energy Storage Europe exceeds expectations

Only three weeks before Energy Storage Europe will open its doors, the event has already exceeded all expectations. From 9 March until 11 March, more than 80 speakers will present their papers on business, science and politics, and about 100 exhibitors will present their products at the concurrent trade show – up 40% on previous year’s attendance. This confirms Energy Storage’s status as the world’s largest conference and trade show for storage technologies.

Compared with previous years’ events, this year’s conference and trade show has extended its range in terms of content and quality. A range of high-profile events on related subjects will take place at the same time as the 4th Energy Storage Europe in Düsseldorf: the 9th International Renewable Energy Storage Conference (IRES 2015), the 2nd VDE Financial Dialogue Europe 2015, the 4th OTTI-Conference Power-to-Gas and the 6th Storageday. At the concurrent trade show, several companies, institutes, associations and organisations will present their services and products. Among them are leading companies such as VARTA Storage, Bosch, Leclanché, E.ON, AEG, Siemens and Belectric. More than 15

institutes including more than ten Fraunhofer Institutes, will present their research results and consultancy services.

Among the speakers are experts from New York University and the California Energy Storage Alliance, Tesla Motors, BMW, Bloomberg and the US Energy Storage Association. Representatives of the German Federal Network Agency, the Federal Ministry of Economy, the EU commission and the BDEW will present papers on new energy market designs and the role of politics.

“The renewed expansion of Energy Storage confirms that a separate storage conference and trade show is strictly necessary. Those who want to keep up with the fast-changing developments in the storage technology segment and markets need extensive information on the state of science and research as well as an overview of current products and political perspectives. We would like to thank all partners for pooling Energy Storage’s highly diversified range of subjects in one location. Without it, this unique event would not have been possible,“ Hans Werner Reinhard, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf, points out.
