In 2012, KACO new energy will exclusively supply Neon Energy's solar power projects with inverters. The two companies concluded a corresponding framework agreement at the ECOTEC trade fair in Athens. It has been agreed to supply inverters with an output of 50 megawatts.

As an EPC contractor, Neon Energy plans, constructs and finances solar power systems in Greece, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria and Cyprus. “We have secured the supply of 50-megawatt Powador inverters because we are very optimistic about the development of solar energy in Greece and we are impressed by the reliability of the devices and services provided by KACO new energy,” explains Kyriakos Doussakis, Managing Director of Neon Energy. The German company KACO new energy has already had a subsidiary in Crete since 2006 and maintains a well-developed sales and service network in Greece.

“Our Powador 30.0 TL3 inverters can be deployed very flexibly and are extremely reliable during operation. This makes them ideal for the type of projects that Neon Energy has in its portfolio,” says Manos Chatzidakis, KACO new energy’s branch manager in Heraklion. In particular, Neon Energy plans 100, 200 and 500 kW systems. The installations are usually divided into 100 kW units in order to simplify and accelerate the approval process.

Neon Energy is a multinational contractor headquartered in Athens. Since it was founded in 2010, it has realised or is currently constructing solar farms amounting to more than 80 megawatts and commercial rooftop installations amounting to almost 12 megawatts. The company is also active in the private rooftop system sector with 1.8 megawatts installed. It is mainly active in Greece, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria and Cyprus.
