RECOM today announced that it is supplying its high performance Amur Leopard modules for Lamar Dixon Center in Gonzales, Louisiana. Once completed in 2014, the center estimates it will reduce electricity costs at its facility by thirty thousand dollars per year.

"We applaud Lamar's commitment to implementing leading technology that will deliver operational savings for the center and a secure and reliable renewable energy future for Louisiana, while inspiring the local community with the great power and potential of the sun,” said Laert Tunyan, CEO of RECOM.

“For us in RECOM it is extremely rewarding to partner with commercial and government entities across the nation to reduce operating costs and repurpose the savings to other mission critical areas. Not only it is an inherent part of our corporate mission but also constitutes a fundamental element of our business ethics. The modules will be backed by RECOM’s stringent European quality and Warranties to deliver Lamar Dixon guaranteed performance for the next 25 years or more,” added Tunyan.

NRG Renew, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NRG Energy, Inc., owns the project. The system is capable of producing 317 kW at maximum capacity and uses high performance RECOM 300 W polycrystalline panels. The system will be operational in October, 2014.
