Novus Green has installed 1 MW Solar Rooftop Power Plant at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Announcing a success in Renewable Energy, turnkey EPC solution provider for Solar Power Plants Novus Green on Monday said it has Installed 1 MW Grid-Tie Solar Rooftop Power Plant at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi on 1st Jan 2015 & the plant is running successfully over the past seven months.

Novus Green has installed 4000 Solar Poly Crystalline Photovoltaic (PV) Modules of 250 Wp and Grid Tie String Inverters to build 1 MW.

A grid-tie inverter is a power inverter that converts direct current (DC) sources such as solar panels into alternating current (AC) for linking with the grid.

Life of Solar Power Plant is 25 years & they are modular in nature; capacity can be enhanced in future to meet increased requirement of electricity.

The major advantage of Solar Power Plant is that it can reduce diesel consumption wherever DG backup is provided.

For maintaining Solar Power Plant there are no moving parts in the system and it requires only minimal attention. Depending upon the dust level, the system requires periodic cleaning.

"The installation will generate approx 14, 00,000 units of electricity per year, thereby helping Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi , save approx Rs.1.12 crore annually," the company said in a release here.

It has installed this prestigious project through a tender from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
