QuickSolar to offer web’s most educational solar estimation tool for free to New Jersey homeowners

Homeowners can watch from the comfort of their own computer as a QuickSolar designer remotely drags & drops solar electric (PV) panels onto a satellite image of their home. As the system is designed, the web-based software displays key metrics related to the costs and benefits for individual homeowners to go solar.

Once the design is complete, homeowners will receive a free, customized rendering of what solar panels would look like on their home. Because QuickSolar does not sell or install residential solar arrays, their focus is to educate and inform homeowners on what solar can do for them.

“Homeowners have basic questions about solar energy that they cannot get answered without first engaging with a solar contractor,” said Scott Oman, QuickSolar Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer.

“Some websites make generalizations about a homeowner’s potential savings based on little to no data about the home, creating a proliferation of bad information. We aim to solve that by empowering homeowners with access to quick, accurate answers to their questions about going solar.”
