Vitronic secures another major order from Asia. In July the Industry division of the Germany-based machine vision company won the contract to supply more than 150 inspection systems to a leading Korean manufacturer of solar technology.
The VINSPEC solar inspection systems are to be installed in the company's
newly built production facility. The order volume amounts to several million euros.
Thus, after a strong first half year in 2015 Vitronics industry division set a new order record. In February the company had already received a large order from China to retrofit production lines for a major cell manufacturer.
The Asian market represents huge potential for a company specialized in machine vision: many of the leading solar cell manufacturers in China and Taiwan have already ordered Vitronic inspection systems.
