Following an autumn of reforms, we look back at the first months of the new federal government. We discuss the report on energy transition monitoring by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the ten key measures derived from it. We also provide an outlook on the expected amendment to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) and assess its significance for the sector. What measures are needed to further advance the expansion of renewable energies, ensure financing and security of supply, and strengthen the domestic energy industry?
