At the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP) Vision Awards the Sunways annual report won a silver medal in its peer group. It also ranked among the top 50 reports from Germany (39th place). All in all, the Sunways annual report ranked 134th among more than 5,000 international reports.
"The level of creativity exhibited in the report judged for Sunways AG is superb, which is supported by the exceptional clarity in communicating this years key messages," said Christine Kennedy, Managing Director LACP.
The Vision Awards, which have been assigned since 2001, are among the most important awards worldwide for annual reports. Along with criteria such as the report cover, information accessibility and message clarity, the publications submitted to the competition were assessed according to elements such as writing style and layout. ?
The Sunways annual report also won silver on the occasion of the Annual Report Competition ARC Award 2011 (category: "Energy: Alternative"). This award is assigned by the independent organization MerComm Inc. 2,100 annual reports from 31 countries were reviewed and assessed by more than 200 experts from the public relations, investor relations, journalism and design areas. ?
A third award was won by the Sunways annual report on the occasion of the International Business Awards, the so-called Stevie Awards. Among more than 3,000 annual reports Sunways ranked as "Distinguished Honoree" in the category Best Annual Report Print. The Sunways report was the only publication of a German company to receive this award. The International Business Awards, which are also referred to as the "Oscars of the business world", have been presented annually since 2003 to honor outstanding business achievements. In the final round, the winners in the individual categories were determined by more than 200 international top managers.
