Aurora Energy Research, the global power analytics provider, is pleased to announce the  2nd Energy Finance Conference,  which is set to take place in Paris on 8 October 2025.

The energy sector is challenged by geopolitical tensions, economic uncertainty, and rapidly evolving global markets. These factors have placed the sector at a crossroads requiring diversification of energy sources, often increasing reliance on imports, or demanding substantial financial investment.  Consequently, coordinated action by both private and public capital is essential to mitigate price volatility and meet European Union and global climate targets.

Guided by industry experts, the Energy Finance Conference 2025 will provide an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how to navigate this evolving landscape and identify the priorities necessary to meet growing energy demand. The aim is to achieve secure and resilient energy systems while integrating emerging technologies. The event will also offer the chance to engage with a high-level panel and benefit from valuable networking opportunities.

In addition to Aurora’s expert speakers, the lineup involves a selection of sector leaders, including:

  • Laura Cozi, Director of Sustainability, Technology and Outlooks, International Energy Agency
  • Kurt Vandenberghe, Director General, DG CLIMA
  • Rosheen McGuckian, CEO, NTR
  • Ghislaine Schreinemachers, Managing Director Project Finance, Rabobank
  • Lisa McDermott, Managing Director, Project and Infrastructure Finance, ABN Amro
  • Christian Schnell, Co-Head of Europe Energy Sector Group, Dentons

Pierre Denery, Head of France at Aurora Energy Research, comments:

“For its second edition, panelists and presenters will tackle the current challenges slowing down the deployment of capital in renewable and battery storage energy systems, such as negative prices and grid curtailment, and look at solutions to overcome them.”

The event is supported by Dentons, IJGlobal and Terralayr.
