The three power plants will be installed on warehouse rooftops – mainly used for farming – in the North, Centre and South of the country. 20,000 polycrystalline silicon modules will be used in the plants to provide a total power of 4.5 MW. Besides these three power plants, 9REN is working on new projects to be launched in the near future.

“The three new projects represent a great accomplishment for 9REN, which thus confirms its position in Israel as a leading operator in the photovoltaic sector for the installation of rooftop plants. Moreover, it consolidates the effective alliance with its local partner Inbar Solar” – states Stefano Granella, CEO of the Group.

Inbar Solar, one of Israel’s main companies operating in the renewable market, will partly manage the installation work on behalf of 9REN, which will act as EPC contractor. In this way 9REN aims at promoting employment in the countries where it wants to operate.

9REN boasts a well established experience in Italy and Spain where it owns 100 out of the 200MW of installed capacity. The new projects will allow the Group to enter into those new markets which are paying growing attention to the development of renewable energy. Not limited to Israel, the Group has begun to seize new business opportunities within the MENA region and the emerging East European countries.

Thanks to the three new plants and its 10 MW pipeline, 9REN confirms its development strategy, which is strongly oriented to increasing the installation of rooftop plants beyond the European borders. Such strategy is supported by the Group’s great ability to adjust to the changes in regulations and predict new market requirements.

Today, José León Arenciba, 9REN Business Development Manager, will present these three new plants during his speech at the Italian PV Summit in Verona.
