Adler Solar Services GmbH has been awarded a contract to build a PV installation in Japan within the scope of the Renewable Energy Solutions (RES) program of the German Energy Agency (dena). The programs funds will enable ADLER Solar to build a PV roof installation as part of a training center and thus further anchor the ADLER Solar Works joint venture founded last spring and based in Yokohama in the target market of Japan.
The service sector for PV installations and components in Japan has hitherto hardly been devel-oped. One of the goals of the project is therefore to show all market participants, such as installa-tion operators, investors, etc., that the services offered by ADLER Solar Works offer added value in the service life of the PV installation and thus can ensure that the installation performs for more than 20 to 25 years.
Another goal is to organize a comprehensive transfer of knowledge and experience in the PV train-ing center planned by ADLER Solar und ADLER Solar Works, on whose roof the installation will be installed in the coming months. Apart from basic and advanced training for its own specialists, a general training program is also being planned. The EPC business Yokohama Kankyo Design Co., LTD (YKD), which participates in the ADLER Solar Works joint venture through its subsidiary Solar Works, is making the roof available for the projects reference installation and training rooms.

The planning for the training center and the PV installation is currently running at full speed. An on-site inspection was held at a joint meeting with representatives of dena on November 9 and 10 in PRESSE Information ADLER SOLAR
Yokohama. Further, the partners discussed the current status of the project and coordinated the details of further procedure. The opening of the reference installation and the PV training center is planned for spring 2016.
This project is part of the worldwide dena Renewable Energy Solutions Programme coordinated by Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) the German Energy Agency and co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) within the renewables Made in Germany initiative.
