Apricum, 8.2 announce strategic partnership

Apricum, a management consulting and transaction advisory firm specialized in renewable energy, announced today a partnership with 8.2, an engineering consultancy also specialized in the renewables sector. The cooperation unites Apricum’s strategy development services with 8.2’s solar power plant and wind park engineering expertise.

The partnership enables both companies to access the core competencies of the other in order to offer clients a complete strategy and implementation advisory service.

"Our focus is on emerging renewable energy markets, such as the Gulf region. Recently we advised several large industrial conglomerates on their overall strategy for PV market entry there, and now they are moving into the implementation phase for specific power generation projects. With 8.2, we can now offer the services of an experienced partner who can act as owner’s engineer for our clients and guide them through the realization stage,” said Nikolai Dobrott, Managing Partner of Apricum.

Dietmar Obst, Partner, 8.2 Ingenieurpartnerschaft Obst & Ziehmann said “I believe that this cooperation will enable us to serve our clients even more effectively than we do now. I am excited about this partnership as we can offer complementary strengths to the same group of clients, via a seamless and integrated service.”

The partnership allows Apricum’s clients to have a consistent point of contact and the retention of deep knowledge across the entire power generation project planning and implementation stage. “Our clients no longer need to find a separate partner to realize the projects brought about as a result of the strategy we advised them on, potentially losing vital knowledge along the way,” said Nikolai Dobrott.

This strategic collaboration unites the resources of Apricum’s network of representative offices in more than ten countries with those of more than 20 offices in the 8.2 Group. Apricum and 8.2 are currently identifying potential collaboration opportunities for projects to start in early 2014.
