The sixth edition of the Conferencia de la Industria Solar – España 2012 (CIS-ES 2012) will be the meeting point for international solar experts and leading PV companies to discuss the most interesting opportunities in markets without FiTs. The conference will provide the necessary tools to understand the possibilities for auto-consumption, the future net-metering scheme in Spain, the characteristics of large PV ground-mounted parks without FiTS and the attractiveness of Latin American markets.

The conference is the undisputed reference for the Spanish solar industry and it is organized by the German company Solarpraxis with the support of Eclareon, an international business consultancy specialized in renewable energies. The event will take place on October 18 in Madrid at the Meliá Barajas Hotel. The inaugural session, conducted by Luis Torres (who represents the Spanish PV association, UNEF), will feature David Pérez (Partner of Eclareon), Andrés Navarro (Manager of Cámara de Comercio Brasil – España) and Angie Soto (Sales Manager of Renewable Energy Producer in Nexus Energía).

They will discuss the new regulatory framework in Spain, business opportunities in Brazil for European companies and the best strategy to optimize energy sales without tariffs. Marie Latour, Senior National Policy Advisor in EPIA, will present their new report ‘Connecting the Sun: Solar Photovoltaics on the road to large-scale grid integration’ for the first time in Spain. The study demonstrates how the European power supply system can be adapted to the rapidly increasing supply of solar energy and anticipates a PV market share of 15 to 25% by 2030. After the inaugural session, the conference will be split in 2 parallel branches: ‘PV Markets in Latin America’.

Latin America is emerging as one of the most promising regions for the development of renewable energy in the upcoming years. CIS-ES 2012 will provide an extensive overview of the most relevant aspects of the main Latin American markets, with reputed experts in Brazil, Chile and Mexico. The PV market and industry characteristics, renewable regulation, taxation and real experiences of Spanish companies in Latin America are all examples of the topics that shall be discussed. ‘PV energy in Spain’.

The fast approaching "post feed-in tariff" era in Spain will be analyzed in this branch of the conference: the first installations for auto consumption in Spain, the next net metering regulation and the expected energy framework, the new developments in PV technology and the opportunities for utility-scale PV generation.

CIS-ES 2012 is an excellent meeting point for leading European companies and a major forum to exchange concerns and seek for partnership opportunities. More information and registration: http://www.solarpraxis.de/en/conferences/conferencia-de-la-industria-solar-espana-2012/general-information/
