“We chose AIKO’s modules because they combine the highest efficiency with excellent reliability, ensuring maximum energy yield on our rooftop. The project allowed us to drastically reduce our energy bills and improve our environmental profile,” says Carla Trevisan, Vercar Srl.
The system is expected to generate approximately 107,500 kWh in its first year and 3.05 GWh over a 30-year lifecycle, supported by a low annual degradation rate of 0.35%. On-site generation now allows Vercar to avoid around €45,000 per year in electricity purchases. Through participation in an Energy Community incentive scheme, the investment cost was reduced by 40% to a net of €50,775, resulting in a payback period of approximately 1.2 years. The system’s LCOE of about €0.03/kWh represents a dramatic reduction compared with pre-installation grid electricity costs.
In this project context, AIKO’s N-Type ABC modules deliver clear technical advantages over conventional TOPCon technology:
· +4.5% installed capacity within the same rooftop area
· +8.6% higher electricity production in the first year, driven by superior low-light response
· +8.77% higher total energy yield over a 30-year lifecycle
These characteristics make ABC technology particularly suited to industrial rooftops where space efficiency, long-term reliability, and predictable performance are critical.
“Since the installation, the AIKO system has exceeded our expectations. The energy output is higher than anticipated, and our electricity bills have dropped by more than 40%. The modules are extremely reliable, and we are fully satisfied with the performance and the partnership with Solaristim and AIKO,” says Franco Bolzon, CEO, Vercar Srl.
This project exemplifies how high-efficiency solar can transform industrial rooftops into strategic assets, providing a replicable model for companies across Europe to cut emissions, lock in energy costs, and accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral economy.
