BlackMagic represents the evolution of the photovoltaic sector, because it was the first to introduce a control and optimization system using artificial intelligence, between the panel and the inverter, thus avoiding the leakage intrinsic to photovoltaic systems, and increasing the efficiency of the solar installations. BlackMagic reduces investment recovery time and maximizes the return on the investment itself. This technology can be applied to new and pre-existing installations, and will increase the power of any system.
It can be used with all types of panels and inverters available on the market for residential, commercial and ground-mounted photovoltaic installations. There is also a version of BlackMagic that can be completely integrated into the photovoltaic panel junction boxes during manufacture. BlackMagic was created in response to the growing interest in the issue of energy efficiency, which is generally penalized by the problems typical of traditional photovoltaic technology.
The photovoltaic system only transforms some 7 percent 11 percent of solar energy into electricity: this low conversion rate is further worsened by environmental and meteorological factors (shadows, smoke, sand, dirt, fog, snow) and/or by construction issues, such as design or installation faults, panel ageing and mismatching (which can affect efficiency by between 14 percent and 30 percent). If these problems are ignored, investing in solar energy can become uneconomical (with increased maintenance costs), slowing down the return on the investment. Created in 2006, BlackMagic was the first technology to confront and resolve these issues typical of the photovoltaic sector.
