BriskHeat Corporation has released the Centipede 2, the revolutionary temperature control system that economically controls multiple heaters in a system. With the Centipede 2, each heater in a system has its own PID temperature controller and RTD sensor.
Individual PID control improves temperature uniformity and process control across a system for applications like CVD, Etch, gas delivery temperature maintenance, and pipeline condensation prevention. These controllers network together to a touchscreen interface for easy global programming and monitoring.
In 2004, BriskHeats original Centipede control system redefined the industry standard for temperature control by providing inexpensive PID temperature control for each heater, explains Tony Multon, Manager of Business Development.
For the next generation Centipede 2, we added new features and improved the design based on customer feedback like the full-color touchscreen and improved module design. We were even able to reduce the price so that we can continue to provide the best value to our customers.
Our goal for the Centipede 2® is to redefine the industry standard once again. We are excited about the many new features like displaying the power duty cycle to calculate heater energy efficiency. Energy-efficiency is extremely important to our customers and now they can measure their power consumption in real-time. This is one of the many improvements found in Centipede 2.
In addition to the standard module design, BriskHeat now offers a DIN-Rail STACK version of Centipede 2. This space and cost-saving design features three-zones of temperature control per module and connects to a PLC or external computer; ideal for control panel and tool integration where high volume of heating zones (up to 512 zones) are located in a limited space.
