The energy transition in Europe is making measurable progress, thanks in part to the strong commitment of companies such as CCE and its subsidiaries. The Marknesse project in the province of Flevoland in the Netherlands, with a planned capacity of 23.3 megawatts, also strengthens the position of CCE The Netherlands. The investment underlines the company's commitment to the region. With the Marknesse project, CCE The Netherlands is increasing its portfolio of operational plants to a total of 29.5 MW.
‘The acquisition of the project in Marknesse is an important step for us and underlines our strategy to further expand our renewable energy portfolio in the Netherlands,’ says Cederik Engel, Managing Director of CCE The Netherlands. ‘We are happy to drive this project forward and make a positive contribution to sustainable energy generation in the Netherlands.’
CCE is also paying particular attention to the option of grid-relief measures: ‘In our projects, it is important for us to also consider future possibilities. In the Marknesse project, for example, we have a grid connection with sufficient capacity to be able to integrate additional battery storage later,’ explains Jörg Menyesch, Co-CEO of CCE Holding.
