Tes Koop Temiz Enerji Kooperatifi of Turkey and Sunergy Ventures International LLC of USA has signed a definitive agreement to develop 175 MW utility Scale Solar Project with Seydisehir Municipality of Konya region. In the pipeline a second utility scale solar project of 75.4 MW with Konya Selcuk University is waiting for final signatures. Latest technology American made PV panels will be used in these projects.

Tes Koop Temiz Enerji Kooperatifi is the first renewable energy coop of Turkey, and the first renewable energy company to develop large scale solar projects in Turkey. All the power produced from these projects will be purchased by the Turkish Government under a long term SPPA at 13.3 U.S. ¢ per kWh.

The benefits of President Erdogan’s renewable energy policy will largely help the ever growing Turkish economy and will also help consumers as large scale solar utilities enter into long term solar power purchase agreements (SPPA). Turkish government’s renewable energy policy would also provide a clear stable signal to the market, motivate large amounts of foreign capital, create new jobs, enhance Turkey’s energy independence, help reduce greenhouse emissions, and allow for continued investment and growth in the Turkish renewable energy sector.

Tes Koop Temiz Enerji Kooperatifi and sunergy Ventures International Llc believe Turkish government’s considerable weight to non-price factors such as new job creation, planned long-term approach, big advantages of external sources of funding and continuing to make case for renewable energy is encouraging us to add large utility scale projects to our pipeline.
