Christopher Associates to introduce new PV bus bar sealant at Intersolar North America

Christopher Associates has announced it will introduce a new bus bar sealant from Tonsan – Asia’s largest manufacturer – at this year’s Intersolar North America, which is scheduled to take place from July 13 – 15 in San Francisco, the U.S.

The demand for 25-year product lifetimes has led Tonsan to research and develop new materials with advanced performance characteristics and environmental resistance. As a critical link in the mono/polycrystalline manufacturing process, bus bar sealing demands superior compatibility with the films and electrical components with which it comes in contact.
“The unique chemistry of Tonsan 1526 offers superior electrical and fire resistance, excellent resistance to aging and harsh environments, and excellent adhesion to all of the materials used in the process,” says the company.
