Constant plant monitoring with the new MaxWeb Portal

In order to make photovoltaic plant monitoring and presentation even more comfortable for the SolarMax customers, the Swiss inverter manufacturer Sputnik Engineering reviewed its free monitoring system MaxWeb Portal and gave it a clearer and more user-friendly design.

Specifically, the customer can now access a number of further selection criteria. Daily, monthly, and yearly curves can be retrieved with one click. Time and energy values, for example relative and absolute energy yields, monetary results, but also CO2 savings are represented in a vivid manner. Additionally, the monitoring portal provides fault messages and a lot of other important data in order to guarantee continuous and smooth operation of the plants.

Specifically for large-scale plants with several data loggers, the portal provides the option of virtually combining the devices to become one plant. The tabular analyses can be exported as an Excel file and/or represented graphically directly in the portal as PDF file.

The data flow from the solar plants to the portal is guaranteed by the SolarMax data logger MaxWeb. It records current measured values, yield data, and events and transmits these to the server of the MaxWeb Portal. The portal is compatible with all usual operating systems and internet browsers and the plant data can be retrieved via any internet connection.

"Before we commissioned the new MaxWeb Portal, interested users had the chance to test the beta version for a couple of weeks," says Rudolf Bühler, Senior Product Manager Data Communication with SolarMax. "Since the feedback of the customers regarding this test version was absolutely positive, we now officially go online. With the new MaxWeb Portal, we provide our customers with a user-friendly monitoring tool with a wealth of data and analysis options."

The MaxWeb Portal is available for all SolarMax customers using a MaxWeb data logger for plant monitoring.
