On 25th July, energy storage project cooperated by Desay Battery-Hunan MT New Material Technology was successfully connected to the grid and achieved operation. The project is the largest C&I energy storage project to state assets system of Hunan Province, and it was also the first sodium C&I AIO ESS Project to Desay in Hunan. Desay not only provided a one-stop energy storage solution for this project, but also provided strong technical supports in intelligent operation management, real-time operation, maintenance monitoring and statistical analysis. Desay actively built advanced integrated new ESS to ensure the smooth grid connection and stable operation.
It is a Shared Off-grid Energy Storage project with total capacity of 7.5MW/15.983MWh. Desay constructed 4.9MW/10.464MWh among total scale The project is equipped with 215kWh LFP C&I AIO ESS and 144kWh Sodium C&I AIO ESS self-developed by Desay. 280Ah LFP cells and 200Ah Sodium cells are adopted. 144kWh Sodium C&I AIO ESS in the project is the first sodium-ion C&I ESS system to Desay, demonstrating the scientific research ability in sodium-ion cell. It will also take a further step in the development of sodium-ion battery.
In this project, BMS, EMS and PCS were combined to achieve balanced management between battery clusters, improved the overall service life of system and the discharge capacity of the whole cycle life, and fully achieved auto management of batteries, fire protection, and thermal management. Each set of energy storage solutions adopts mature solutions verified by multi-scenario applications which had advantages of high energy density, high reliability, high safety, and fast response. Meanwhile, Desay adheres to the principles of scientific safety, green environmental protection and economical land use for project design，shortening the construction cycle for customers and achieving friendly development of environment.
In the wave of rapid development of the energy storage industry, Desay continues to accelerate the development of new quality productivity, while actively expanding the development of lithium-ion battery industry chain. Desay also deeply cultivates the sodium-ion battery industry chain, promoting the large-scale and commercial application of sodium-ion batteries. There are both opportunities and challenges with the rise of the industry and the expansion of the market, however, Desay will seize the opportunities, actively respond to challenges and constantly explore innovation with more open-mind and firmer step to scale new heights.
