Despatch Industries has seen a rebound in firing furnace sales over the past year. A recent sale of 10 furnaces to a leading producer means that every one of the top ten producers of crystalline solar cells have made purchases from the supplier.
Manufacturers who have endured the turmoil of the past few years and come out on top have turned to Despatch technology to increase overall production, performance and profitability.
"The top ten manufacturers account for over 40% of all the crystalline solar cells produced worldwide," said Ellen Cheng, general manager of solar business for Despatch Industries. "Despatch continues to be the global leader and supplier of firing furnaces for the industry, holding a 75% market share through 2014."

The new Safire Firing Furnace, with DriTech Dryer, is bringing additional flexibility and performance improvements as the industry continues to evolve. Customers have seen a 0.1 per cent absolute improvement in overall efficiency while reducing wafer scrap by close to one per cent absolute, and reducing low efficiency cells by four per cent absolute.
