Additionally, Edwards’ CEO, Matthew Taylor, will be the keynote speaker at SEMI’s Global Care Executive Luncheon taking place on Tuesday, July 12, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. Matthew Taylor will discuss the implications of climate change on semiconductor and solar manufacturing, the role vacuum and abatement systems can play in achieving industrial environmental objectives, and some thoughts on the way forward for the industry.

The company is featuring its Zenith family abatement systems at the shows. The Zenith integrates vacuum pumping and abatement into a single system to provide manufacturers with a highly efficient, low-cost-of-ownership solution that meets the latest manufacturing and environmental requirements.

The Zenith is easy to install and use, and it saves valuable fab floor space. It features Green Mode, which provides significant reductions in energy consumption, resulting in reduced environmental impact and additional cost-of-ownership savings. “2011 has been a very good year so far for Edwards, despite the overall slow pace of global economic expansion,” said Matthew Taylor, Edwards’ CEO. “We recently opened state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in South Korea and the Czech Republic, and have been winning major contracts from solar and semiconductor manufacturers around the globe.”

The Zenith is an award Finalist for the 2011 SEMICON West Sustainable Technology Award. The Award will be announced during the show at the South Hall TechXPOT on Wednesday, July 13, 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
