James Watson joins EPIA from Weber Shandwick where he has worked for more than six years as the Director of Public Affairs in Brussels.
"Today is a good day for the photovoltaic industry. James is the right person to drive the European energy transition and ensure that photovoltaics play a crucial role in the energy mix, building on the work of a highly motivated and competent team," said the EPIA President, Oliver Schäfer. "James brings with him 16 years of experience in policy making and political communications having worked in Brussels, Africa and London," he added.
James Watson will take on his new role in July 2014.
"I am looking forward to putting EPIA firmly on the front foot in shaping the European energy transition in the coming months and years," stated Mr. Watson.
