Exide Technologies Appoints New Global Sales Director BESS for Energy Solutions Division

Exide Technologies (www.exidegroup.com), has appointed Tobias Badelt (Dipl.-Ing.) as Sales Director Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In his new role, he will be responsible for driving sales and strengthening customer relationships in the rapidly growing market for large-scale battery storage. His focus will include expanding Exide Technologies’ international footprint, and developing partnerships with utilities, grid operators, as well as commercial and industrial customers.

Tobias Badelt brings over 25 years of international management experience in the energy and technology sector. Prior to joining Exide, he held senior positions including Head of Business Development and Communications at ECO STOR GmbH and Head of Global Sales Battery Storage Systems at Rolls-Royce Solutions Berlin GmbH.

Earlier in his career, he served as CEO and Managing Director of OSRAM South Africa and held multiple senior executive positions at Siemens AG in Germany, China, South Africa, and Kenya. His experience spans global sales leadership, P&L responsibility for large business units, and the development of innovative energy and microgrid solutions.
