Bridging the Energy-Food Gap through Technical Precision

In the Middle East and Africa, the energy-food-water nexus is a critical strategic priority. ESET SOLAR’s approach moves beyond simple hardware installation, offering a holistic Agri-PV integration that respects both the biological needs of the crops and the technical requirements of the grid.

For this flagship demonstration project, ESET SOLAR engineered a specialized structural solution designed for seamless integration with existing greenhouse infrastructures. By implementing a 5-meter clearance height and 6-meter span, the system accommodates large-scale agricultural machinery and ensures optimal airflow. This modular, rapid-deployment design significantly reduces the Balance of System costs while maximizing land-use efficiency—a vital factor in preserving the delicate desert topsoil.

Intelligent Yield Optimization: The ESEEK Advantage

The intelligence of the ESET SOLAR solution is most visible in its ability to manage microclimates for high-value crops. The facility focuses on species like figs, which are susceptible to photo-inhibition and heat stress under the intense Arabian sun.

To solve this, ESET SOLAR deployed its proprietary ESEEK Series Intelligent Tracking System. Rather than following a standard solar path, these smart trackers utilize advanced algorithms to balance photosynthesis and power generation:

Dynamic Shading: During peak solar radiation, the modules rotate to a horizontal position, acting as a protective canopy that reduces transpiration and prevents fruit scorching.

Precision Irradiance: During optimal growth windows, the system pivots to maximize photon capture for the PV cells while ensuring the crops below receive the precise “light recipes” required for high sugar content and premium fruit density.

A Circular, Zero-Carbon Ecological Model

This benchmark project serves as a technical blueprint for energy-independent farming. The clean electricity generated by the integrated PV array fully covers the energy demand of the greenhouse’s climate control and fertigation infrastructure, including:

l Automated precision irrigation and nutrient delivery systems.

l High-efficiency ventilation and evaporative cooling.

l Real-time IoT agricultural monitoring.

By creating a self-sustaining loop, ESET SOLAR helps growers decouple from volatile energy prices and reduces the carbon footprint of the food supply chain. This dual-land use strategy effectively doubles the economic output per square meter, providing a viable solution for land-scarce regions.

Empowering the Global Energy Transition

With 18 years of specialized project design experience and a deep understanding of regional regulatory frameworks, ESET SOLAR is more than a manufacturer—it is a strategic partner in the global energy transition.

Today, ESET SOLAR supports its global clientele through a robust supply chain featuring six manufacturing bases and 12 smart factories, boasting an annual production capacity of over 30GW. As the MEA region accelerates toward its Net Zero 2050 goals, ESET SOLAR remains committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and intelligent mounting solutions that empower both the grid and the grove.
