The former confirms that all provisions are described and fulfilled in accordance with the EN 1090-1:2009 standard and that GehrTec Base complies with the requirements of the Construction Products Directive.
At the same time, the technical and quality requirements of the European Union for CE marking are met and GehrTec Base can now carry this with immediate effect throughout Europe. According to the inspection corporation's own definition, the "TÜV Rheinland LGA tested Quality" certificate serves as proof of defined, superior, constant quality. It confirms the safety and fitness for purpose of the product as well as its overall quality, whose consistent level is assured through yearly production checks.
Olaf Just, Gehrlicher Solars Head of Product Management, explains, "A high level of product quality is decisive if solar power systems are to deliver consistently high yields over a life cycle of more than 20 years. Components such as the substructure sometimes face extreme climatic conditions. We are delighted that GehrTec Base has become the world's first ground-mounted system to be completely certified for quality and reliability."
The substructure, made of galvanized steel and aluminum, allows a wide range of module technologies and sizes to be mounted as ground-mounted systems. Both the orientation and tilt of the modules can be individually adjusted with GehrTec Base. A small number of individual parts, prefabricated attachment points and an integrated cable duct reduce mounting times and consequently system costs.
