GoodWe’s inverters are part of the success story on the cluster project of 134 independent PV plants with a total capacity of 74 MW in Oreokastro, Thessaloniki, Greece with a medium voltage private network and a 20/150 kV power plant station. More importantly, this is a project capable of meeting the energy needs of 2 cities such as Serres and Kilkis. The PV parks have been completed, while the construction of the 20/150 kV power station and the medium voltage grid is currently underway and are expected to be completed by August/September 2023.
ENERGIAKI DRYMOU participates in the development and construction of PV Plants with a total capacity of 230 MW, of which 52 MW form a cluster in Larissa with ready to build projects under Operational Support Contracts (tariffs). At the same time, ENERGIAKI DRYMOU is awaiting a Final Connection Offer for a 30 MW battery system (stand-alone) in Drymos Thessaloniki. GoodWe’s inverters were chosen because of their clear LCOE (Levelized Cost of Electricity) benefits/superior technology, high technical experience and expertise of its people in Greece, its competitive pricing policy and the high quality of its products. In addition, the combination of GoodWe’s inverters and controllers is excellent for cluster type projects that have special remote-control requirements from the IPTO (Independent Power Transmission Operator).
“The cooperation between our company ENERGIAKI DRYMOU and GOODWE has been excellent. Despite the fact that it was a large order in a particularly disrupted transport & supply chain environment and in the midst of international turmoil, GOODWE ensured the uninterrupted supply of its products to our projects. And my personal experience of working with Thanasis Sakkas of GOODWE confirmed the correctness of our choice to select GOODWE for the inverters and data-loggers/controllers for our projects.”. Kostas Efthymiou, Managing Director of ENERGIAKI DRYMOU IKE, commented.
On behalf of GoodWe, Thanasis Sakkas, Commercial Director Europe & NA, noted: “ENERGIAKI DRYMOU is a company that consists of deeply experienced executives. Their choice to use our inverters in their 74MW project was conscious and the result of a deep and thorough research into the inverter market. Their choice was based on the high quality of the equipment in relation to the notably high outputs that our inverters produce, especially in the very hot Mediterranean climates such as Greece. Our strong technical presence in Greece is yet another reassurance factor for investors who choose us.”
The high-performing HT250 inverter solution for maximizing ROI on utility-scale projects.
David Sanchez, GoodWe’s Sales Director EMEA – Utility & Large Scale, further explains the benefits: “With 12MPPT´s and 24 inputs, the GW250K-HT is a highly performing 1500Vdc string inverter capable to deliver LCOE advantages in all scenarios of utility solar farms. With its innovative technology, the GW250K-HT maximizes the plant´s yield generation in high temperature areas due to an advanced design and unique late temperature derating. Though the superior thermal design alone is a massive benefit for the Greek market, the GW250K-HT also brings in a high level of digitalization and uptime for utility solar farms through its PLC and Anti-PID technology”.
