EcoVadis assesses businesses globally on how well they have integrated sustainability into their business and management systems, and provides a common platform, universal scorecard, benchmarks, and performance improvement tools. Its assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria under four pillars: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

The Silver Medal that GoodWe received places it in the top 14% of the 100,000-plus companies across 175 countries that EcoVadis has rated. The award recognizes GoodWe’s strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, and reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainable practices.

Sustainability has long been anchored at the core of GoodWe’s corporate strategy. In its inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report released this year, the company’s sustainable development practices are well-chronicled. For instance, it has adopted green building concepts at the company’s various facilities through solar carports and Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) that are integrated with its solar-storage-charging system.

GoodWe has received the US LEED Gold Level Green Building certification — the premier green-building standard in China — for its new under-construction headquarters building. The newly delivered Phase II of its Guangde manufacturing base, is also set to expand production capacity while delivering high-level green production, maximizing self-consumption, and demonstrating GoodWe’s ambition of making every building generate electricity. The overall PV power generation meets 50% of GoodWe’s self-consumption.

The latest recognition from EcoVadis confirms GoodWe’s strong environmental, social, and governance standards, and serves as inspiration in the company’s continued efforts to bring about global energy transition and contribute to a sustainable future.
