The Solar-Log 350 was officially launched at Solar Power International in Las Vegas last October and since then, strong market demand has confirmed the need for PV monitoring integrated in revenue grade meters.
Solar Data Systems, Inc. has installed a number of Solar-Log 350 & GE meters in most major U.S. solar PV markets since its first ship date on January 15, 2015. The Solar-Log & GE Meter and its cellular connectivity have proven a convenient solution for monitoring today's U.S. residential solar PV plants. Solid demand for the Solar-Log 350 fuels the growth of the extended product family which will include the Solar-Log 360 & 370.
Together, these forward-looking products offer an innovative and proven solution for integrated PV metering and monitoring, including inverter direct monitoring, power and energy management, as well as battery storage monitoring.
"Growing market demand has further validated the benefits of the Solar-Log & GE Meter solution. Early customers continue to buy in relatively large quantities and some large potential customers are considering deployment in great scale," says Anton Kaeslin, President of Solar Data Systems, Inc.
"We are pleased with how this new member of the Solar-Log product family has performed so far. Integration of monitoring and metering can be done at a significantly reduced cost, without compromising functionality and flexibility. The cellular based Solar-Log & GE Meter provides revenue grade metering, automatic incentive reporting, inverter direct monitoring, energy and power management, as well as satellite weather reference monitoring."
Distributors, installers, plant owners, and solar leasing companies across the nation have purchased the Solar-Log & GE Meters. The entire product family including the Solar-Log 350, 360, and 370 will be on display July 14-16th at Intersolar North America 2015, at Moscone Center in San Francisco.
