The new member of the TrueString family has the same class-leading features, small size and rugged NEMA6 packaging, with an output power of 5.75 kWac at 208V.
It offers the same ability as the 480V TrueString to comply with the NEC 2014 Rapid Shut Down requirement simply and easily through under-array mounting. Because of its rugged enclosure and avoidance of electrolytic capacitors internally, the new product is also ideal for tough solar installations in high altitude, desert or salt environments. It will ship in Q4 this year.
"We've had a lot of requests for a 208V version, and we've responded," said Dr. Lutz Henckels, CEO of HiQ Solar.
Today HiQ Solar also announces a new solution for cost-effectively ballast-mounting TrueString inverters under arrays of PV modules for the ultimate in space-efficiency and NEC 2014 Rapid Shut Down compliance. Available as a kit for easy on-site assembly, the MNT-TS1-01 contains recycled rubber roof protection pads with smooth edges that eliminate the risk of roof damage.
