ISOFOTON has announced the development of a new reduced and lighter frame for its ISF (ISOFOTON) series of modules, which will be available for direct sell in November 2013. This 35 mm frame reduces in 10 mm the module thickness, which facilitates the module transportation and installation. It is specially suited for the residential market because integration into rooftops becomes easier. This slimmer frame also guarantees all mechanical resistance, quality and safety standards of ISF range of modules.
Ángel Luis Serrano, President of ISOFOTON, said that "this new product proofs ISOFOTON's commitment to find new creative solutions that satisfy all value chain player's needs. This new improvement will provide an added value solution for both final clients, installers and distributors with a product that offers a perfect combination amongst efficiency, lightness and strength."
This range of product assures ISOFOTON brand guarantee standards supported by 30 year guarantee of power supply. As well, is also recognized with all the certifications awarded to ISF range of modules, such as the certification on European origin of both cells and modules, certifications for Potential Induced Degradation (PID) and Resistance to Salt Mist or Ammonia Corrosion issued by TÜV Rheinland. All those certifications are compliant with the highest quality standards supporting the European design and manufacturing of our modules.
These improvements also show ISOFOTON's commitment to sustainability and environment. With a lighter and reduced frame, storage capacity increases a 25% for each carton. This simplifies management and stock control, and transportation, which contributes to minimize the CO2 footprint.
ISOFOTON's new frame improves mechanical properties of the module, increasing the feeling of resistance. The selected aluminium alloy, jointly with an optimized design of the profile and the right position of the fixings leads to the best compromise between robustness and lightness.
This new slimmer module offers optimum integration into the roof by reducing the edge height of the profile. It is very suitable to the residential market for roof-installations. The new frame in combination with ISOFOTON Black-modules offers a safe and aesthetic solution.
