This market in the Central American region has successfully been serviced by the Krannich Solar West branch in California. The new sales office in the centre of the Mexican capital accommodates the growing customer base and provides local customer support.

“In Mexico solar energy is being deployed by system sizes up to 500kWp over the Net-metering- method. Thus a photovoltaic-system is especially attractive for households and commercial operations” said Kurt Krannich, founder and owner of the photovoltaic wholesaler. “We are registering a continuous increase of demand for photovoltaic systems for private households and medium-sized enterprises. The perfect segment for us as a wholesaler. And we assume that the market will keep growing in the coming years.”

According to a study of the EPIA Mexico is one of the most attractive locations for solar energy. Due to high and steadily increasing electricity prices of the national energy concern Comisión Federal de la Electricidad (CFE) the usage of photovoltaic energy in households and businesses is getting more interesting. At the moment the installed capacity is relatively low. Nevertheless the electricity production with photovoltaic energy has grown by twofold during the last two years.
