The Philippines' National Renewable Energy Plan (NREP) in 2009 set a target of achieving a 35% renewable energy share of electricity generation by 2030, with plans to install 15GW of renewable energy capacity by the same year.

LONGi is committed to promoting the development of green energy and delivering clean energy products and solutions to the Philippine market and intends to invest more resources in expanding its local presence to lay the foundation for long-term service to clients. The company has also been actively focusing on its ESG business, and the development of the Philippine market is a significant milestone on its green carbon path.

LONGi's future plans include combining PV with pumped storage in locations with high levels of irradiation and coastal areas with a drop in elevation, according to its “Solar for Solar” concept, producing an industrial model for PV manufacturing driven by PV generated power worldwide.
