Taking account of each planning situation and the possible mounting systems, inter-row shading of mounted modules can now be calculated with PV*SOL Expert 5.0 and the positioning and orientation optimized. System planners can create PV*SOL standard mounting systems and fully edit these, independently from the statics.
In addition, it is possible to automatically cover the roof with the mounted PV system, which at the same time is adapted to the roof architecture. Single rows of modules can also be fully edited and added or removed in groups. The module rows can be jointly configured to operate as a sub-array. The parallel calculation and visualization of the shade frequency distribution for all of the module rows and the calculation of shading in the yield simulation greatly assists in optimizing the planned PV system.
As well as the new features for mounted systems, PV*SOL Expert 5.0 comes with an extended version of the climate data module MeteoSyn, which now has 8000 global climate data records. MeteoSyn offers the convenient selection of locations from a map and also allows the interpolation of additional locations from those already available.
All versions of PV*SOL® have extensive and well-maintained module and inverter databases with data for around 7600 modules and 1700 inverters which are continuously updated and extended by the automatic update function. The data is updated online by the module and inverter manufacturers. Valentin Software then checks the data and makes it regularly available to PV*SOL® users via the automatic update function.
PV*SOL users can select between five languages in the program: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, and the user manual is also available in all five languages.
