Mounting Systems GmbH presents the new open terrain system Sigma I XL at the trade show Intersolar Europe in Munich. The substructure combines the advantages of a single-post system deriving from the Sigma I with the proven Pi-rail technology of the Sigma II.
By ramming only one post, the Sigma I XL saves time for pile driving and requires less grass maintenance than its two-post counterpart. Resembling the Greek letter Pi, the Pi-rail consists of a horizontal and vertical beam that offers stability and as well as width.
Due to material optimization and improved static properties, there are different versions available for the portrait and landscape installation. Both versions rely on the Pi-rail technology and a patented fitting method for the respective application.
In landscape configuration, the Sigma I XL provides a click-system for assembling the modules fast and easy, without any screws. Its portrait "brother"utilizes the Mounting SystemsÂ’ patented slot nut-technology, the Quickstone, for a quick and safe installation.
Helge Tost, Vice President Sales, says: "Sigma I XL stands out with its simple, functional design and the minimal number of tools needed for installation. Most parts are pre-assembled making the new open terrain product faster to install. This means considerable savings in time and installation costs especially in large-scale projects. "
Since the Sigma I XL does not have concrete foundations, both the sealing and the desolation of the ground are avoided, making the system environmentally friendly. In addition, the system is also recyclable and enables easy denaturalization of the terrain.
