NETZERO MILAN RETURNS IN ONE YEAR: SAVE THE DATE FOR OCTOBER 2026 AT ALLIANZ MICO

At a time when European energy policies are marked by attempts at revision and therefore increased uncertainty, industrial and power system decarbonization remains a strategic imperative for business competitiveness and sustainability. The unpredictability of global policy choices highlights how crucial it is to consolidate investments, technologies, and collaboration among industry, finance, and institutions.

It is in this context that Fiera Milano launches the second edition of NetZero Milan – Expo & Summit, scheduled to take place in Milan one year from now, from October 20 to 22, 2026, at Allianz MiCo, reaffirming its format that combines vertical conferences, networking opportunities, and an exhibition area.

“NetZero Milan once again aims to engage the key players and resources of the decarbonized economy, with the goal of demonstrating that it is possible to move beyond the apparent contradiction between sustainability and growth,”- said Sara Quotti Tubi, Head of Energy & Transportation Exhibitions at Fiera Milano. – “We are already working to involve suppliers of cutting-edge technologies, the financial sector, and the policymakers driving change, in a three-day event that will foster discussion on the open challenges, showcase the best projects already underway, and provide scientific evidence of the effectiveness of the decarbonized economy and its positive economic impacts on the Italian and European industrial systems”.

At the core of NetZero Milan 2026 will be finance, seen by European institutions as a fundamental enabler of the energy transition. According to the European Central Bank, drawing on documents produced by the European Commission in 2023, achieving the climate targets set for 2030 will require annual green investments equivalent to 8.3% of the European Union’s GDP as of 2023.

Public and private investments are therefore a decisive factor in ensuring the necessary support for technological and infrastructural transformation: the development of new power grids, the spread of new technologies and energy carriers, and the electrification of industry and transport – all aimed at delivering effective and economically efficient solutions. This must occur within a framework of economic sustainability and consistency, to optimize the return on every euro invested.

Building on the format of the previous edition — which featured over 210 Italian and international speakers, contributions from 8 major knowledge partners, and a highly qualified audience of executives and C-level participants — NetZero Milan will once again offer a rich program of vertical conferences and networking opportunities.

The exhibition area, redesigned this year with a new layout, will facilitate meetings among technology producers, utilities, consulting firms, law firms, financial institutions, industrial offtakers, universities, and international energy experts. A major new feature of this edition will be the NetZero Solutions Hub, a new space dedicated to showcasing highly representative projects and business cases – an opportunity to discover best-in-class case histories from both hard-to-abate sectors and light industry, selected based on their effectiveness, innovation, and relevance.

In the coming months, a series of pre-event webinars will take place, organized under the scientific supervision of leading editorial organizations and key stakeholders from the energy sector and major industrial segments. This shared journey will once again accompany the NetZero makers community in exploring the decisive themes for decarbonization and for strengthening the competitive capacity of the manufacturing industry.
