Solar Frontier and P.M. Service, one of Italys leading PV distributors, announced today the launch of Solar Frontiers SolarSets for the residential rooftop segment. PM Service will act as authorized distributor for the new standardized PV systems in Italy. The SolarSets range from 2kWp to 6kWp in eight configurations and have particularly been optimized to satisfy the needs of the Italian market.
With the end of the Conto Energia V, self-consumption will become increasingly important, said Andrea Parrini CTO at P.M. Service. Such a market environment will have the strongest focus on return on investment and investment security. We are convinced that Solar Frontiers SolarSets represent the best match between inverters and CIS module technology to optimize performance and are thus ideally suited for the Italian market. The easy selection of the systems size saves installers time, eliminates potential missteps and allows them to focus on their business and the consultation of their customers.
The strengths that distinguish CIS from other technologies include performance under low light conditions, higher temperature efficiency, a boost in power output following initial exposure to sunlight, and power generation under partial shading. While these advantages are independent of each other, the SolarSet configuration optimizes them by using a new series of Solar Frontier inverters with a patented cooling system, broad voltage range, and an earlier start and later shut-off in the low light conditions of early morning and early evening. This means increasing power at real-world conditions.

Solar Frontier is offering a five-year product warranty on the SolarSets, which can be extended to seven years upon online registering.
