"In a persistently difficult market environment in the solar industry Dr. Comberg has done an excellent job in the past year and set the course for Conergy's future," said Dr. Andreas Plesske, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Conergy. "He is to promote this further in the next three years, thus ensuring continuity."

In this respect, Dr. Philip Comberg will resign from the Supervisory Board. His successor as Chairman will be the present deputy, Dr. Andreas Plesske. Werner Paschke will become deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

"We have achieved a lot in the past ten months. Nevertheless, we still have a long way to go. I continue to believe in Conergy and that we will overcome the challenges lying ahead of us. I have therefore decided to continue Conergy's realignment and the mutual work with my fellow board members towards it," said Comberg.

The composition of Conergy’s Management and Supervisory Board shall otherwise remain unchanged, thus ensuring continuity in the company’s management.
