Fig Garden Golf Club has gotten greener since Pickett Solar of Fresno, California recently completed a solar carport installation for the full-service, 18-hole course. The project was initiated when Fig Garden Golf Club owner, Dave Knott, was faced with several problems. He had huge electrical bills, not enough shade for customers cars, not enough shade for the driving range, and an old parking lot that needed a facelift. In recent years, solar panels installed on carports in parking lots have become a natural and popular choice for hot San Joaquin Valley summers.
