Portuguese company specialized in liquid technology for solar panels breaks ground in the US market

The company has been growing over the past years, supported by the investments received from its shareholders Portugal Ventures, EDP, Ganexa, Brain Capital, SERVICE TV, SBS, and Statusmanuever, allowing the company to currently have 9 employees; the latter hiring was necessary to support the sales growth as the market becomes even more aware of its products and the demand keeps growing.

The entrance in the US, one of the most mature solar markets, was a natural step. The partnership with Sunbrush USA started being discussed during the Intersolar München, the largest trade fair for the solar industry. In September, Sunbrush USA became the ChemiTek’s exclusive importer to the US, and a network of distributors is already being established.

Their growth is noticeable in different markets and continents, such as South Africa and the United Kingdom. The South African branch of Krannich, one of the biggest solar shops in the World, also became the exclusive importer of ChemiTek’s range. In the UK and Ireland, Solar Clean Robotics, is now the exclusive distributor. The company now represents two references in the market: ChemiTek and Solarcleano.

The participation in Intersolar München was a landmark in the company’s history. Besides being the first participation and the first introduction to the company for many who visited the show, it was also ChemiTek’s introduction to its new range of products for the solar industry: specifically developed removal agents for different types of contaminants (e.g. cement dust, rust, hard water stains, limescale deposits, lichens, bird droppings, dust, etc.) and anti-soiling coatings to protect and mitigate soiling from the panels.

The success of the new range of products in Intersolar has helped establish ChemiTek as the number one company in cleaning and maintenance products for the solar panels. Not only there is no chemical company on the market to offer the same solutions for cleaning and maintenance for the solar industry, ChemiTek is also committed to test all its products and ensure they are certified by international laboratories such as TÜV Sud. Their main product, Solar Wash Protect also has conformity letters from 12 of the 15 biggest Tier 1 manufacturers of solar panels (TRINA, GCL, LONGI, JINKO, etc.) stating that their products follow their guidelines and therefore do not void the warranty of the panels.

In fact, according to Mr. César Martins, CEO and founder of ChemiTek, “the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, the consequent crisis in the energy market, with energy prices continuously rising, has accelerated the search for effective solutions that allow for greater savings in the budget of families and companies. With energy efficiency and the reduction of environmental impact being considered two of the factors most explored by the businesses in Europe during the year 2022, the investment on PV plants is increasing daily. The growth of the industry and the maturing of ChemiTek as a company, supported by the investments, the Intersolar trade show and the new range of products, has enabled us to become a reference within the solar maintenance industry.”

This September, ChemiTek participated as an exhibitor in the Solar Power International (SPI) in Las Vegas in partnership with Sunbrush USA. The show was a success, leading to many opportunities in this market!

This month, during October 18th – 20th, ChemiTek will be exhibiting at the Solar & Storage Live UK 2022 together with their exclusive distributor Solar Clean Robotics. Visit both companies at booth k41 during this trade show.
