During the event, Power Electronics tested its charger control platform together with the main vehicle manufacturers to ensure the standardization of the communication protocols between vehicle and charger DIN 70121 and ISO 15118. In the tests, both teams carried out different use cases to ensure the interoperability and reliability of charging, which will allow the electric vehicle user to enjoy a fast and safe charging experience.

On the event, the multinational has confirmed the launch of the “Plug&Charge” functionality later this year, which will allow users to recharge their electric vehicles easily and without having to waste time on authentication and payment management, with no other operations than connecting to the charging point.

With the development of “Plug&Charge” and the MCS (Megawatt Charging System) standard, Power Electronics is at the head of innovations in the electric mobility sector, positioning the multinational as a major player for the coming years.

According to Michael Gschwandtner, Power Electronics Electric Mobility Division Business Developer, “this type of event, where all the players in the electric vehicle value chain meet, is an example to be replicated, as it contributes to the development of the sector and helps to achieve the goals set by governments and institutions for 2030”.

The multinational plans to continue to be a major player in the electric vehicle charger market, as in the renewable energy sector, where it is the leading manufacturer of solar inverters in Europe, America and Oceania and the world's leading manufacturer of converters for energy storage.

Thanks to its long history in renewable energies, Power Electronics has installed more than 3,000 fast charging units around the world, which have charged more than 45,000 electric vehicles and have contributed to making the transition from fossil to renewable energies a reality every day.
