PV Thermal Solar launches SolarRac2

SR2 was created by Michael Moulder, CEO of PV Thermal Solar. Moulder successfully invented another commercial ballasted racking system which is currently in its 10th year on the market as well as one of the first ballasted commercial hot water racks, www.pvthermsolar.com

SolarRac2 is competitively priced at 10 degrees and unmatched at 30 degrees, carries a 25 year warranty, is designed for speed of install, and is compatible for 150 mph wind zones; SR2 has listened to the contractor needs!

Our extensive wind tunnel testing and CFD analysis over a 12 month period of time, said Lewenz, resulted in industry low weights up to 30 degrees, including net zero ballast numbers at 10 degrees. Brian Dunn, Project Manager for RWDI wind tunnel testing facility, stated, “we have tested many ballasted racking systems and SR2 tested out with the lowest ballasted weights we have seen for a 25 degree angle.”

Michael Donoghue, President of Maritech Engineering and expert developer of environmental design criteria including wind and sea wave climate and loading, is SR2’s lead wind engineer. Per Donoghue, “We have looked at other ballasted solar racking systems and have many questions on how they generated their wind data and ballasted weight calculation claims.”

Manufacturing facilities for Mw projects are currently available out of Delaware, Michigan and Texas. Primary manufacturing for all systems is New Castle, DE. For additional information, contact info@pvthermalsolar.com or see website, www.solarrac2.com, for a sales representative in your area.
