Among other things, it became clear in the test laboratory that the module passed the more stringent aging tests, the PID test, and examination of its performance parameters.

Modules from the initial delivery to Europe in May 2013 were tested. According to information provided by Hanwha, 300 MW of the new product have been sold worldwide since then.

The modules tested have 60 polycrystalline cells. The series also features modules as a black variant and modules with 72 cells. The HSL Series replaces the SF series.

According to Hanwha, the modules are lighter in weight, more compact, have anti-PID functionality as well as improved cell technology with better weak light behavior. In addition, they are available in higher performance classes.

PV+Test is an independent module test from the German safety standards authority TÜV Rhineland and Solarpraxis AG, publisher of pv magazine.

The modules are purchased independently on the market so that manipulation is ruled out and then tested in accordance with a procedure approved by an industrial consortium.

The test provides information with regard to aging stability, performance, electrical safety and documentation.

pv magazine will report on the test results in detail in the February issue.
