PV Evolution Labs (PVEL), the expert test lab which is internationally recognized for providing the most reliable validation services regarding panel performance, tested the modules under the harshest PID test conditions (damp heat chamber, 85?C at 85% relative humidity, 1000V plus and minus polarity).
After 600 hours of testing, actually simulating 25-30 years of field exposure, PVEL confirmed that RECOM solar modules passed the test with phenomenal results. In fact, the power degradation was found to be less than 2%, with the fail limit at 10%.
Considering PID is one of the most significant factors affecting the overall system performance of solar installations, this is a major advantage for RECOM, in terms of quality, performance, and durability.
RECOM Technical Director, George Touloupas, remarked, "We are committed to offering our clients the best solar modules to secure their PV investment. Quality of materials and workmanship are key factors that ultimately determine the level of performance. For this reason, our solar modules undergo thorough testing not only in our advanced production facilities, but also in independent testing institutions, such as TUV, CSA and PV Evolution labs, to name a few.
"Our facilities are regularly inspected by world-class auditors such as Bureau Veritas. We are very pleased that PVEL has validated our modules and that we can add this report to our list of quality achievements."
