The registration process for exhibitors and sponsors of the Energy Storage Europe (conference & expo) in Düsseldorf, Germany, is already under way.

For the first time, this event will coincide with the International Renewable Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition (IRES) hosted by EUROSOLAR and the World Council for Renewable Energy (WCRE) and the Power to Gas conference hosted by OTTI e. V.

Thanks to this constellation, the most important events of the energy storage segment will join forces and present their products and services in Düsseldorf from 9 March until 11 March, 2015. The organizer expects more than 1,500 international visitors and almost 100 exhibitors to participate in the trade show, which will take place in conjunction with the conferences.

"Over the past few years, the market for energy storage has experienced major growth and has significantly diversified. Storage technologies are rapidly becoming more efficient and costs are coming down fast. Events such as the Energy Storage Europe provide the industry with a clear orientation, but also create an important platform for major players from politics, industry and research that helps us endorse the issue of energy storage," explains Prof. Dr. Eicke R. Weber, chairman of the Programme Committee of the Energy Storage Europe, president of the German Energy Storage Association (BVES), spokesman for the Fraunhofer Energy Alliance and Head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems.

"IRES has been established as the leading international energy storage conference among scientists for over eight years. We are delighted to provide participants with even more opportunities to meet and network with representatives from the industry by joining forces with the Energy Storage Europe and the Power to Gas conference. This way, we can move our research results straight to the forefront of practical application," points out Irm Scheer-Pontenagel, managing director of EUROSOLAR.

The main issues addressed by Energy Storage Europe include the development of the energy storage market, new storage solutions and their commercial applications. A special focus is on practical business models for electricity and thermal storage, power-to-gas technologies and the integration of renewable energies into the grid. The event is organized by Messe Düsseldorf and supported by over 40 leading associations and partners worldwide.

At the associated trade show, companies and research institutes will present their latest products and research results. Due to the strong growth of exhibitors, the trade show will be relocated to the city hall, which is connected to the former venue and provides a large common exhibition area. Companies wishing to present marketable products, applications and concepts for the energy storage segment are very welcome to take part in this event. With the new visitor ticket for 30 euros, external guests can now also attend the trade show.
