Before this, in March 2023, the same tests were conducted successfully in TÜV Rheinland Greater China’s laboratory. Risen SYL has thus become the first energy storage system integrator in China that has passed the relevant tests conducted at laboratories in both China and the United States.
The safety of li-ion battery energy storage system has become a common concern in the industry, and the related regulations and standards are constantly improving. UL 9540A, as one of the most authoritative and stringent test standards for thermal runaway propagation, has been internationally recognized in reducing fire safety hazards of energy storage systems, and is widely recognized by the relevant departments. It has become an indispensable stepping stone for entering into North America market and even the global market, playing a vital role in ensuring the performance, safety and reliability of energy storage systems.
As a third-party certification body specialized in energy storage batteries and systems, TÜV Rheinland has conducted comprehensive safety testing on Risen SYL’s liquid-cooling battery modules and clusters. TÜV Rheinland has maintained its professional standard throughout the entire process, from customizing a rigorous test plan, to effectively introducing standard technical requirements into product development, to conducting all-around technical audits and rigorous testing and evaluation in terms of battery performance, system design, electrical safety, functional safety, and environmental applications.
The the passing of the UL 9540A test and obtaining the safety assessment report will play a key role in further promoting and endorsing Risen SYL’s BESS products in the North America market. Taking this opportunity, Risen SYL will continue to invest in product technology research and development, and ensure its products always come with top-notch reliability and performance, to achieve long-term sustainable growth, and actively contribute to industry-leading energy storage solutions for the global energy transition and net-zero goals.
